The beach resort is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday. It is located on PR-3 at km 35.2 in Luquillo. Check updated hours on the DRNA website before visiting.
General admission costs $5 per vehicle (up to 6 people). Children under 12 enter free. It is recommended to bring cash, as cards are not always accepted.
Most visitors spend 3 to 4 hours enjoying the beach and picnic areas. If you plan to eat at the famous Luquillo kiosks, set aside half a day.
It is one of the oldest public beach resorts in Puerto Rico, with more than 50 years of operation. It represents the family tradition of enjoying the coastline in a safe and organized way.
From December to April (dry season) to avoid rain. Wednesdays and Thursdays are less crowded. Arrive before 10:00 AM to get better parking.

Five minutes away are the Luquillo kiosks for local food, and 15 minutes away is El Yunque National Forest. Fortuna Beach is also nearby.
