Campanario Hill is generally open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but I recommend checking the exact hours and any seasonal changes on its official website before your visit. You can reach the viewpoint on a comfortable chairlift that takes you directly to the summit.
There is a fee for the chairlift. I suggest checking the latest prices directly on the Campanario Hill rates page, as they may vary by season. There are usually discounts for children and seniors.
To fully enjoy Campanario Hill, I suggest allowing between 1 and 2 hours. This includes the time to go up and down on the chairlift, plus enough time to admire the panoramic views from the top, take photos, and perhaps enjoy a coffee.
Campanario Hill is world-renowned for the beauty of its views and was voted by National Geographic as one of the 7 best views in the world. From the summit, you’ll enjoy an unmatched 360° panorama of Nahuel Huapi Lake and Moreno Lake, the Llao Llao Peninsula, Victoria Island, and countless peaks of the Andes.
Any time of year is a good choice, as the landscape changes beautifully with the seasons. For better photos and fewer people, I recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon. On sunny days, the views are spectacular; if it’s cloudy, they may not be as clear.
Access to the main viewpoint at the top of Campanario Hill is suitable for people with reduced mobility, as there is a comfortable chairlift that allows them to go up easily. Once at the top, the walkways are accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the spectacular views.
Near Campanario Hill, you are right in the heart of the Short Circuit, where you can visit Llao Llao Hotel, Puerto Pañuelo for boat excursions, El Trébol Lagoon, or the beautiful San Eduardo Chapel. There are also excellent chocolate shops and craft breweries in the area to enjoy.
I recommend bringing a jacket, even in summer, since it is often windy at the summit and the temperature can drop. Don’t forget your camera, and if possible, avoid weekends or peak hours for a quieter experience. After your visit, you can have a coffee or snack at the café at the top, which has spectacular views.
