Absolutely! Cerro Uritorco is famous for its legends of UFO sightings and mystical energy, attracting many spiritual seekers. It is also a place of great geological and cultural importance for the region, with traces of Indigenous cultures and rich biodiversity.
The best time to visit Cerro Uritorco is during spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May), when temperatures are more pleasant for hiking. We recommend going up early in the morning to avoid the extreme midday heat in summer and to enjoy the views in the best light.
Unfortunately, Cerro Uritorco does not have adaptations for people with reduced mobility due to the nature of its rocky terrain and the physical demands of the trail. The ascent requires good physical condition and mobility.
In Capilla del Monte and the surrounding area, there are many options. Don’t miss the Artisan Walk, Los Alazanes Dam, Los Terrones, or La Toma riverside resort. For more details about other attractions, you can check the local tourism page: Capilla del Monte Tourism.
We recommend bringing plenty of water (at least 2 liters per person), sunscreen, a cap or hat, sunglasses, and comfortable clothing suitable for hiking (layers, windbreaker). Don’t forget sturdy, safe footwear, as well as an energy snack. It is essential to always carry your trash back with you and follow the park rangers’ instructions for a safe experience that respects the environment.
