La Cascada Plateada, en las montañas de Lao Cai, Vietnam, es una espectacular caída de agua de más de 200 metros que brilla como plata bajo el sol, rodeada de exuberante naturaleza y culturas étnicas.
The waterfall is open every day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You can reach it from Sapa by vehicle (1 hour) via QL4D highway. We recommend renting a motorbike or arranging local transport. More info: Lao Cai Tourism.
Admission costs 20,000 VND (less than 1 USD). Children under 1.2 m enter free. There is currently no online ticket sales; tickets are purchased at the entrance.
We recommend 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the viewpoints, take photos, and relax. This includes walking along well-marked trails down to the base of the waterfall.
The H'mong and Dao ethnic groups consider it a sacred place. According to legend, its waters have purifying properties. Its surroundings are respected, and swimming is not allowed.
From September to April, avoiding the rainy season (May to August). Early mornings (before 10:00 AM) are ideal to avoid crowds and get better light for photos.
Only the first level has paved access. The trails to the lower viewpoints are steep and have uneven steps. There are no ramps or specific assistance available.
We recommend: 1) Sapa (mountain town, 22 km), 2) Bac Ha Market (Sundays, 40 km), and 3) Fansipan Mountain (cable car from Sapa). More options: Vietnam Tourism.
Bring non-slip footwear, rain protection, and insect repellent. There are local stalls with drinks and light snacks. Hire local guides in Sapa for cultural experiences: Sapa Guides.
