The lake is a natural area open 24 hours a day, although to find boat operators available I recommend going between 07:00 and 17:00. It is located about 20 km from the city of Dien Bien Phu, and the best way to get there is by taxi or motorbike following the road toward Muong Phang commune.

Access to the lakeshore and enjoying the scenery are completely free. However, if you want to sail to the islands or rent a private boat, you will need to negotiate the price with local operators, which is usually quite affordable.
