The complex is generally open every day from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is located on the slope of Sam Mountain; you can easily get there by taxi or motorbike taxi from central Chau Doc, and we recommend checking the exact route on Google Maps before you leave.

Entry to the complex is usually free, as it is an active place of worship and spirituality. However, it is customary and appreciated to leave a small donation in the boxes intended for the maintenance of the temple and its caves.

We recommend setting aside between 1 and 2 hours to explore it at a relaxed pace. This will allow you to climb the steps, explore the shrines inside the caves, and enjoy the panoramic views without rushing.

Historically known as Cave Pagoda, it was founded in the mid-19th century and is a revered sacred site. Legend says that a Buddhist nun meditated here and was protected by two mystical snakes, making it a symbol of peace and divine protection.

The best time is during the dry season, from December to April, to avoid the monsoon rains. As for the time of day, try to go early in the morning, around 7:30 AM, to avoid the intense heat and the crowds of pilgrims.

Unfortunately, access is difficult for people with reduced mobility due to its mountain location. There are numerous steep steps and uneven paths leading to the main caves and shrines.

You are in the heart of Sam Mountain, so do not miss Ba Chua Xu Temple and Tay An Pagoda, which are very close by. They are essential stops to complete your cultural and spiritual route through the region.

As this is a sacred place, remember to wear modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Also, bring comfortable footwear for the stairs and water, as the humidity and heat can be intense during the climb.
