❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What time can I see the volcano show and how do I get there?

The Mirage Volcano show is presented daily from 7:00 PM until midnight, with eruptions every hour. Access is completely free and can be enjoyed from the hotel’s outdoor forecourt. To get there: Address: 3400 S Las Vegas Blvd. We recommend using Uber/Lyft or the monorail from the Strip.

Is it free to visit the Mirage Volcano or do I need a ticket?

Completely free! You do not need a ticket or reservation. Just head to the outside of the Mirage Hotel and enjoy the show. You will only spend money if you decide to stay at its restaurants or nearby shops.

How long does the full visit take?

Each eruption lasts about 5 minutes. Most visitors stay 15–30 minutes, including time to take photos and see it from different angles. Perfect to include in your tour of the Strip!

What is the significance of this Las Vegas attraction?

Created in 1989 by Steve Wynn, it was the first free pyrotechnic show on the Strip. It represents the wild nature of Hawaii with special effects and tribal music. After its renovation in 2008, it uses more intense flames and improved choreography.

What is the best time to watch the show?

Full nightfall (after 8:00 PM) is best to fully appreciate the flames and special effects. The best views are from Sunday to Thursday when there are fewer crowds. Avoid days with strong winds, which can cancel the show!

Is it accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, the entire area has ramps and designated viewing zones for wheelchairs. The Mirage offers complimentary wheelchair loans (subject to availability). More info: Las Vegas accessibility guide.

What other attractions are near the volcano?

Just a short walk away: the legendary Bellagio Fountains, the Botanical Conservatory (free), and the Mandalay Bay aquarium. For more action: the Mirage casino or the shows at Caesars Palace!

What tips do you recommend for enjoying the visit more?

1) Arrive 10 minutes early to get a front-row spot 2) Bring a jacket (the desert night gets chilly) 3) Visit the souvenir shop after the show. Pro tip: pair it with dinner at STACK Restaurant!
