Zoo Miami is open every day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, including holidays. It is located at 12400 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33177. It is recommended to allow 3 to 5 hours to explore the zoo's 340 acres. If you use the monorail (the Safari Tram Tour included with admission), you will be able to see more in less time. Do not miss themed areas such as Asia or Africa during your visit!

It is the largest zoo in Florida and the only tropical zoo in the continental United States. With more than 3,000 animals from 500 species, it stands out for its conservation programs for threatened species such as the white rhinoceros. It was founded in 1948 as Crandon Park Zoo and was reinvented in 1980 with new facilities.

The ideal period is from November to April (the dry season), with temperatures between 20 and 27°C and less rain. Avoid July to September because of extreme heat and daily rainfall. Mornings are best for seeing active animals and avoiding crowds.
