Un rincón natural en Sedona donde un arroyo crea un tobogán rocoso natural, ideal para refrescarse entre huertos históricos y paisajes rojizos del cañón de Oak Creek.
The park is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the high season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the rest of the year. It is accessed via State Route 89A from Sedona; booking entry online in advance is recommended. More details are available on the official website.
The fee is $30 per vehicle (up to 4 people) during the high season and $20 outside of it; pedestrians or cyclists pay $10 per person. Arizona State Parks passes offer discounts. Check updated prices on the official website.
It is recommended to spend 2 to 4 hours enjoying the natural pools, slides, and trails. If you plan to swim and have a picnic, allow more time so you do not have to rush.
Created in the 1920s by Matt Schultz as an apple orchard, the park stands out for its natural rock formations that create a unique water slide in Oak Creek Canyon. It was designated a state park in 1985 for its scenic and recreational value.
Spring and fall are ideal because of the mild weather and smaller crowds; in summer, go early in the morning (before 9:00 a.m.) to avoid the heat and congestion. Avoid weekends and holidays.
Accessibility is limited due to the steep, rocky trails; there is a picnic area and overlook near the parking lot with partial ADA access, but the main pools are not wheelchair accessible. Check the official website for details.
Nearby you will find Sedona with its spiritual vortex sites such as Cathedral Rock, Red Rock Crossing, and Devil's Bridge. Oak Creek Canyon is also nearby for hiking; you can explore everything in one combined day.
Bring a swimsuit, water shoes with good traction, sunscreen, water, and snacks; do not forget a towel and a change of clothes. Reserve your entry online and arrive early; parking fills up quickly. Park phone number: (928) 282-3030.
