Dim Cave is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM between April and October, with reduced hours (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM) in the low season. It is located 12 km from the center of Alanya - you can get there by local bus (line MA-43) or taxi. Check updated hours on the Turkish Ministry of Culture website.
General admission costs 60 TL (≈2€, 2024 rate). Children under 8 enter free, and there are 50% discounts for students. They accept cash and local cards, but we recommend bringing Turkish lira in cash.
The complete visit takes about 45-60 minutes. The tour includes 360 meters of illuminated walkways through 2 main chambers with spectacular limestone formations. The interior climate (a constant 22°C) allows for comfortable exploration.
Discovered in 1986, it is one of the largest caves in Turkey at 410m long with interesting geological formation. Although it lacks archaeological remains, the underground lake system and thousand-year-old stalagmites offer a unique natural journey.
The early hours (9:00-11:00 AM) have fewer crowds. April-May and September-October are ideal due to mild temperatures. Avoid July-August if you prefer to skip large groups, although the cool interior (22°C) makes it bearable even in summer.
Only partially: The first 50 meters have accessible wooden walkways, but then there are irregular stairs of up to 45 steps. The visitor center has adapted restrooms. Contact +90 242 513 12 28 for special assistance.
We recommend combining with: Alanya Castle (15km), Cleopatra Beach (18km), and the alpine cable car Olympos Teleferik for spectacular views. The Dim River (next to the cave) has typical floating restaurants.
Wear non-slip footwear (the walkways are damp), bring a light jacket even in summer, and visit the outdoor viewpoint on your way out (incredible Mediterranean panoramas). Enhance your experience with our Spanish audio guide which explains each natural formation.
