Built in the early 13th century, it is one of the oldest mosques in the city, and it is believed that Rumi himself preached here because of its unique acoustics. Its name, 'İplikçi,' means 'spinner,' in honor of the old thread market that once stood in this area.

The ideal time is mid-morning or mid-afternoon, always avoiding the exact prayer times (five times a day) so as not to interrupt worshippers. Especially avoid Friday at midday, when attendance is highest for the communal prayer.

The interior is spacious and level, but as it is a historic building, the main entrance may have steps or old architectural level changes. It is recommended to go with a companion to manage the initial access; once inside, moving around is easier.
