Imponente entrada romana en Sbeitla, Túnez, dedicada a Júpiter, Juno y Minerva, que evoca la grandeur del Imperio en el norte de África.
The Sbeitla archaeological site is open every day from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM in winter and until 7:00 PM in summer. The ticket office closes 30 minutes earlier. We recommend arriving with enough time. Check updates at Tunisia Heritage.
General admission is approximately 9 TND (Tunisian dinars). Children under 12 enter free. Cash payment only is accepted. You can see updated prices at Sbeitla Tourism.
We recommend allowing 1 to 2 hours to fully explore the temples and the forum. The visit may take longer if you also tour other areas such as the Byzantine baths or the theater.
It is the only sanctuary in Africa dedicated to the Capitoline Triad (Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva) with three independent temples. Its state of preservation and symmetry make it an icon of Roman Africa.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer mild temperatures. In summer, we recommend visiting early in the morning or at sunset. Check forecasts at Meteo Tunisia.
The ground has uneven stones and steps. Although there are compacted main paths, it is not adapted for wheelchairs. Sturdy walking shoes are essential.
Within the same complex you will find the Arch of Diocletian, Byzantine walls, and thermal springs. Fifteen kilometers away is the amphitheater of Sufetula. More information at Tunisia Tourism.
Bring sun protection, water, and a hat. The ground is uneven, so wear closed shoes. We recommend an audio guide. Download ours from iaudioguia.com before you go.
