An emerald lagoon hidden among limestone cliffs, a natural paradise in the heart of Phi Phi Leh.
The bay is open all day, but it can only be reached by boat tours between 10:00 and 16:00. They depart from the main beach of Phi Phi Don. For updated schedules: www.phi-phi-islands.com.
There is no direct entrance fee, but tours from Phi Phi Don cost 1200-1800 THB (€30-45). They include snorkeling and stops at other spots such as Bamboo Island. We recommend booking at phukettourticket.com.
Most tours allow 30-60 minutes for cruising, taking photos, and swimming. We suggest combining it with Maya Bay (10 minutes away) for a complete half-day experience.
It is known for its appearance in "The Beach" (2000) and for its emerald waters surrounded by 100-meter cliffs. Geologically, it is a protected lagoon with living coral. More history at: turismotailandes.com.
Dry season (November-April) for clear waters. Avoid July-September because of rain. Ideal time: before 11:00 or after 15:00 to avoid crowded tours.
Limited, because it is a bay that can only be accessed by swimming from the boats (depth 3-5 m). Traditional Thai boats (longtail boats) require some mobility for boarding. Check specialist operators at accessibilitytourismthailand.org.
A 5-minute boat ride away are: Maya Bay (closed until 2025 for recovery), Viking Cave (ancient paintings), and Ko Yung for snorkeling. Route map: andaman-tour.com.
1) Bring water shoes because of coral 2) Avoid non-biodegradable sunscreens 3) Buy the tour photo package (250 THB). Emergency phone: (+66) 76 490 600.
