Wat Traimit is open every day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can take the MRT to Hua Lamphong Station and walk 10 minutes, or go by taxi/BTS; check the Google map for precise directions.

Entry to the temple is free, but access to the Golden Buddha museum costs 100 THB for adults and 20 THB for children. No advance tickets are required; pay on site.

It is recommended to allow 30 to 45 minutes to see the Golden Buddha, the museum, and the temple surroundings. If you take your time and stop for photos, one hour is ideal.

Wat Traimit houses the largest solid gold Buddha in the world, a 5.5-ton gold statue that was hidden under plaster for centuries to protect it from invaders. It was rediscovered in 1955 and symbolizes Thailand’s cultural richness.

The best season is from November to February because of the cooler weather; go early in the morning (8–10 AM) to avoid crowds and the heat. Avoid weekends if you are looking for a quieter visit.
