Donde los manglares susurran historias de sal, cangrejos y un príncipe enamorado de los atardeceres
The park is open every day from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. To get there from Bangkok, you can take a bus or minivan to Samut Sakhon (about 1 hour) and then a local taxi to the park. More details at Tourism Thailand (Samut Sakhon section).
Access to Samut Sakhon Provincial Park is completely free for all visitors. There is no need to buy tickets or book in advance to enter the grounds.
It is recommended to spend between 2 and 3 hours exploring the park's main areas, including its nature trails, lagoons, and waterbird observation areas.
The park protects one of the province's last coastal wetlands, serving as a refuge for migratory birds such as herons and gulls. It also preserves mangroves that act as a natural barrier against flooding in Samut Sakhon.
The dry season (November to February) is ideal because of the cooler weather. For birdwatching, the early morning hours (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM) offer the greatest activity among species.
Some main paths are accessible, but the mangrove areas have uneven wooden walkways. We recommend contacting +66 34 821 378 (Provincial Office) to confirm specific conditions.
Nearby highlights include: 1) Wat Khok Kham Bird Sanctuary (15 minutes by car) and 2) Amphawa Floating Market (30 minutes). More suggestions at TAT News (search for Samut Sakhon).
We recommend bringing mosquito repellent, sturdy walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, and a hat for the sun. Avoid feeding wildlife during your visit.
