En este templo olvidado de Lampang, un rey Lanna plantó reliquias sagradas mientras las hordas birmanas acechaban... ¿te atreves a descubrir sus sombras?
The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You can get there by tuk-tuk from central Lampang (about 10–15 minutes) or by car; the address is Rong Mueang Road, Lampang. Check the map at Tourism Thailand.
Admission is free, although a voluntary donation for maintenance is appreciated. There are no hidden fees, making it ideal for budget travelers.
A typical visit lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, enough time to explore the main chedi and the surroundings. If you want to take photos and meditate, allow about an hour.
Built in the 19th century in Lanna style, it stands out for its white octagonal chedi and Buddha statues that reflect the Buddhist heritage of northern Thailand. It is a sacred site for locals and an example of traditional architecture.
The best time is early in the morning (7–9 AM) to avoid the heat and see monks at prayer; the dry season from November to March is ideal. Avoid midday because of the intense sun.
There are some steps leading to the main chedi, which makes it challenging for wheelchairs, but the outdoor areas are more accessible. Contact the temple at +66 54 228 000 for assistance.
Nearby you will find Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao (5 km away) with its famous Emerald Buddha, and Kad Luang Market for local shopping. Explore Lampang with our IAudioguia audio guide.
Wear modest clothing (shoulders and knees covered), remove your shoes before entering, and bring water and sunscreen. Use an English audio guide from IAudioguia for detailed stories as you walk around.
