Khun Korn Waterfall is generally open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The easiest way to get there is by car or rented motorbike from Chiang Rai, as it offers the most flexibility. There is a parking area at the start of the trail to the waterfall.

No! Entry to Khun Korn Waterfall is completely free, making it an excellent option for enjoying nature at no cost. You will only need to consider transportation expenses to get there.

We recommend setting aside 2 to 3 hours for your visit. This includes time for the round-trip hike (approximately 30–45 minutes each way) and plenty of time to admire the waterfall, relax, and take photos.

Khun Korn Waterfall is mainly known for its stunning natural beauty and for being the tallest and most powerful waterfall in Chiang Rai Province, with a drop of approximately 70 meters. It does not have a specifically documented cultural or religious history, but it is a highly valued natural treasure locally because of its pristine surroundings.

The best time to visit is during the cool season, between November and February, when the weather is more pleasant. Early in the morning is ideal for avoiding crowds and enjoying a quieter, cooler experience. After heavy rain, the waterfall reaches its strongest flow, which is spectacular.

Unfortunately, access to Khun Korn Waterfall is not ideal for people with reduced mobility. The trail from the parking area to the waterfall is unpaved, somewhat uneven, and has some sloped sections, which can make it difficult for wheelchair users or those using walkers.

Near Khun Korn Waterfall, you can find other fascinating destinations. A short drive away is the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), an architectural marvel. Also, Choui Fong Tea Plantation is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the views. And of course, the city of Chiang Rai offers plenty to explore.

Of course—here are a few. Bring comfortable, non-slip footwear for the walk, insect repellent, sunscreen, and plenty of water. The last part of the trail can be a bit slippery because of the waterfall spray. And do not forget your camera to capture the majesty of the place.
