Built in the 11th–12th century during the Khmer period, the park contains Prasat Hin Phimai, a Hindu-Buddhist temple that predates Angkor Wat and highlights the cultural influence of the Khmer Empire in Thailand. The best time is during the dry season from November to February, when the weather is cool and dry, ideal for walking. Visit early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds.
