Un puente chillón que sobrevivió cañones franceses y guarda vistas que te harán olvidar el mundo.
Asdang Bridge is open 24 hours a day, as it is a public bridge accessible at any time. To get there, take a ferry from the Si Racha pier (about 30 minutes, with frequent departures from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM), then take a songthaew or taxi to the bridge; check updated schedules at Si Racha - Ko Si Chang Ferry.
Access to Asdang Bridge is completely free, with no entrance fees. You will only pay for the ferry from Si Racha (around 50-80 THB round trip) and local transportation on the island.
It is recommended to allow 30 to 45 minutes to enjoy the bridge, the views, and take photos. If you combine it with a nearby walk, it can extend to 1 hour.
Built during the era of King Rama V as part of the royal routes to Chao Samran Palace, Asdang Bridge holds historical significance as a vital connection for the island and a symbol of Thai royal influence. It represents colonial architecture blended with local elements.
Sunset (around 6:00 PM) offers the most spectacular views of the sea and the island; visit during the dry season (November-April) to avoid rain. Avoid midday because of the intense heat.
The main access involves stairs and uneven paths, so it is not ideal for wheelchairs or visitors with reduced mobility. Contact local operators for adapted options or guided visits.
Nearby you will find Chao Samran Palace (10 minutes away), Hat Tham Phang Beach, and Wat Tham Kung Temple. Explore everything in a combined day trip; more info at Tourism Authority of Thailand - Ko Si Chang.
Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for the rocky paths; use mosquito repellent at sunset. Rent a motorbike to get around the island freely (200-300 THB/day) and check the weather in local apps.
