Disagården is an old 18th-century vicarage linked to the Christian and pagan history of Old Uppsala, the legendary center of the ancient Swedish kings. It represents the cultural transition in Uppland and hosts exhibitions about rural life in the past.
Summer (June-August) is ideal because of the good weather and longer opening hours. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the natural light in the gardens.
The main access is wheelchair-friendly with ramps, but some interiors have narrow stairs. Contact +46 18 430 83 00 for assistance or updated wheelchair information.
Just 500 meters away are the famous royal burial mounds of Old Uppsala and the Old Uppsala Museum. You can also visit Old Uppsala Church, all within a 10-15 minute walk.
