Discover Las Dalias Hippy Market in Ibiza. A unique experience to learn about its history and significance.
The market is open all year depending on the season: Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (summer) and from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM (winter), plus summer Sundays (10:00 AM-5:00 PM). It is located at Sant Carles Road km 12, Ibiza. By car from Ibiza Town it takes 20 minutes via the PM-810. More info on the official website.
It is completely free! You will only pay for what you buy at its more than 200 stalls selling crafts, clothing, and food. We recommend bringing cash although some stalls accept cards.
We recommend setting aside between 2 and 3 hours. This allows you to browse the stalls at a relaxed pace, enjoy live music or occasional performances, and try some of the food stalls with bohemian-style terraces.
It has been an icon of Ibiza’s hippie culture since 1954. It began as a small gathering of local artisans and today it keeps its bohemian essence with live music and an authentic atmosphere, making it one of the oldest markets of its kind in Europe.
Summer mornings (May-September) are ideal to avoid crowds. Saturdays have more atmosphere but also more people. In winter, the night market (from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM) offers a more intimate experience with magical lighting.
The ground is uneven (a rural area with dirt surfaces), so it may be difficult for wheelchairs. There are some paved areas near the restaurants, but comfortable footwear is recommended for all visitors.
Very close by you have Sant Carles (a hippie village with Bar Anita), Cala Llenya Beach, and the cliffs of Es Amunts. More info at Ibiza Tourism or Balearic Islands Tourism.
1) Bring cash, 2) Wear comfortable shoes for uneven ground, 3) Use sunscreen in summer (there are shaded areas but also open ones), 4) Check the schedule on its website since there are special events such as Market Nights with DJs.
