No, access is completely free since it is a public natural area. You may only need money for occasional parking (approx. 100 RSD/day) or services.
Plan for 2-3 hours to walk around the lake perimeter (3.5 km) and enjoy the trails. If you are bringing children or want to swim, you may want to extend your visit.
It is an artificial lake created in 1976 after clay was excavated for bricks. Today it is a protected ecosystem, part of the Borkovačka Bara Nature Reserve.
Spring and autumn are ideal thanks to the mild weather and colorful scenery. In summer, visit early to avoid the heat. Avoid rainy days, as the trails can be slippery.
It has uneven natural terrain. We recommend the east side of the lake (access from the main parking area), where the paths are firmer. Call Tourism Inđija (+381 22 461 222) for more details.
Must-see places in the area include Marađevo Monastery (16th century, 12 km away), Krivaja river island (great for a picnic), and the wine village of Banoštor. Check routes at Tourism Vojvodina.
Comfortable footwear, water, mosquito repellent in summer, and a swimsuit if you want to swim, as there are safe areas. Use the trash bins to help keep this protected environment clean.
