Emblemática iglesia católica barroca en el corazón de Novi Sad, Serbia, erigida en el siglo XVIII como símbolo de la herencia cultural de la minoría católica en la región de Vojvodina.
The church is generally open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday to Saturday and from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sundays for visits outside Mass times. It is located in Novi Sad's historic center, on Liberty Square (Trg Slobode). It is easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the center or by public transport. Check updated hours on its parish website.
Admission is free, although voluntary donations for maintenance are appreciated. If you wish to attend special events or organ concerts, some may require a ticket. Check with the local tourist office for scheduled activities.
We recommend between 30 and 45 minutes to appreciate the Neo-Gothic architecture, the stained-glass windows, and the high altar. If you attend Mass or want time for personal prayer, allow an additional hour. Guided visits usually last 1 hour.
Built between 1893 and 1895, it is one of Novi Sad's symbols and the city's main Catholic church. Its 72-meter tower dominates the skyline, and its Neo-Gothic style reflects Austro-Hungarian influence. It was severely damaged in 1999 during the NATO bombings and was later restored.
Visit in spring (April-June) or autumn (September-October) to avoid the summer heat and crowds. Weekday mornings are quieter. Avoid Sundays at 11:00 AM if you do not want to coincide with the main Mass. During the EXIT Festival (July), the area is very busy.
The main entrance has steps, but there is a side entrance with a ramp. The interior is on a single level with no barriers. Contact +381 21 662-834 for specific assistance. Accessible restrooms are available at the nearby cultural center at Dunavska 12.

1) Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered). 2) During Mass, remain silent and avoid flash photography. 3) Do not miss the 1911 organ—ask about rehearsal times. 4) Next to the church is Panera Bakery, famous for its krempita pastries.
