Donde los girasoles cuentan historias de terremotos, leyendas y rumores de pasadizos secretos.
The farm is generally open from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, but we recommend checking its official Facebook page for updates. It is located at Highway 334, km 0.3, in Guánica. Contact: 787-123-4567
General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children (ages 5-12). It includes a self-guided tour through the sunflower fields and ecological trails. Check their social media for updated rates.
We recommend setting aside 1.5 to 2 hours to walk through the fields, take photos, and enjoy the lookout point. If you also plan a picnic and the ecological trail, allow about 3 hours.
It is Puerto Rico’s first organic farm specializing in sunflowers, founded in 2015. It combines sustainable agriculture with ecotourism, making it an icon of the green economy in the island’s southwest region.
The peak season is from December to April, when the sunflowers are in full bloom. Visit early in the morning (10 am-12 pm) to avoid intense heat and get better photos.
There are accessible areas near the parking lot, but the trails are uneven dirt paths. A wheelchair is available to borrow with prior reservation (contact 787-123-4567).
About 15 minutes away is the Guánica Dry Forest (UNESCO World Heritage Site), as well as Caña Gorda and Santa beaches. In town: Fortín Caprón Museum and the Town Plaza.
Wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection, a hat, and bring water. You may bring a picnic and cameras (professional tripods are not allowed without permission). Check their Facebook for special events such as flower festivals.
