En Dorado, Puerto Rico, un ojo rocoso espía el Caribe: ¿qué secretos guarda esta playa escondida que ha visto taínos, huracanes y celebridades?
Bull's Eye in Dorado is a natural public-access site, so it does not have formal opening or closing hours. Generally, it can be visited during daylight hours. We recommend going while it is still light out so you can enjoy the scenery and take photographs. To get there, you can search for 'Bull's Eye' in your map app, but keep in mind that the final access is usually on foot, along a trail.
Good news! Visiting Bull's Eye is completely free, as it is a natural site open to the public. There are no entrance fees or designated parking charges, although it is important to respect the surroundings and leave the place as clean as we found it.
To enjoy Bull's Eye, including the walk along the trail and time to admire the rock formation and the ocean, I would suggest setting aside between 1 and 2 hours. That will give you enough time to explore, take photos, and relax a little in this incredible natural setting.
Bull's Eye is an impressive natural geological formation, carved by the action of the sea and wind over thousands of years, giving it its distinctive eye-like shape. Although it does not have a documented cultural history like a museum, its significance lies in being a symbol of the natural beauty and unique geology of the coast of Dorado, Puerto Rico.
The best time to visit Bull's Eye is during the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the strongest heat and enjoy softer light for photography. As for the time of year, the drier months, from December to May, are usually ideal, although Puerto Rico has a pleasant tropical climate year-round.
Unfortunately, access to Bull's Eye is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchairs. The path to the formation involves walking along an uneven, rocky trail, which can be challenging. We recommend assessing your mobility before planning your visit.
Dorado has a lot to offer! Very close to Bull's Eye, you can enjoy the beautiful local beaches, such as Sardinera Beach. You can also explore the charming town of Dorado with its restaurants and shops, or even consider visiting the area's luxury resorts to enjoy their facilities and cuisine.
For the best visit, I recommend bringing comfortable closed-toe shoes, sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, plenty of water to stay hydrated, and insect repellent. Remember to bring a bag for all your trash and leave nothing behind. And of course, bring your camera to capture the beauty of the place!
