It is recommended to spend between 2 and 4 hours enjoying the swimming area, having a picnic, and exploring the surroundings. If you only plan to swim and relax, 1 to 2 hours is enough.

This river beach takes its name from the Chapel of Senhora da Ribeira, a place of popular devotion for centuries in the Dão region. It represents the riverside and cultural tradition of Santa Comba Dão, combining nature with local religious heritage.

The best time is in summer, especially July and August, during the morning or around midday to avoid crowds and enjoy the sun. Avoid the hottest afternoons and visit on weekdays for a quieter experience.

Nearby you will find the historic center of Santa Comba Dão with its parish church, wineries in the Dão region for wine tastings, and the Wine Museum. About 20 km away is Bussaco Forest, ideal for a combined excursion.
