El pulmón verde que nació del carbón y guarda secretos de mineros en sus bancos oxidados
Dubiela Park is open 24 hours a day all year round, as it is a public park freely accessible to everyone. You can get there by car via Dubiela Street, by public transport on bus 910 to the nearby stop, or on foot from central Zabrze; check the Google Map for precise directions.
Admission to Dubiela Park is completely free for all visitors. There are no entrance fees or reservations required, making it ideal for spontaneous visits.
It is recommended to spend between 1 and 2 hours exploring the main paths, the lake, and the picnic areas. If you want to enjoy a picnic or simply relax, you can stretch your visit to half a day.
Dubiela Park, created in the 1970s, is a green oasis in the industrial region of Upper Silesia, with an artificial lake and diverse flora contrasting with Zabrze’s mining heritage. It represents an effort to preserve natural spaces in an area historically devoted to coal mining.
Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are ideal thanks to the mild weather and vibrant colors; avoid midday in summer because of the heat. Early mornings offer fewer crowds and better light for photos.
The park has paved main paths accessible for wheelchairs, although some wooded areas may be uneven. There is nearby parking and adapted benches; for more details, contact Zabrze City Hall at +48 32 373 41 00.
Nearby you will find the Guido Mine, a unique underground experience just 10 minutes away by car, and the Coal Mining Museum. Zabrze’s historic center with its town hall is about a 15-minute walk away.
Bring comfortable shoes, insect repellent in summer, and water, as there are shaded areas but no drinking fountains. Download the Zabrze tourism app from zabrze.pl for offline maps and join a family picnic for a fuller experience.
