Donde la arquitectura se emborracha, los árboles esconden oro y hasta los osos venían de vacaciones.
Tricity Forest, part of the Tricity Landscape Park, is open 24 hours a day year-round, with free access from Sopot Beach. You can walk there from central Sopot (about 10–15 minutes from Sopot Pier), take the SKM train to the Sopot stop, or drive and use nearby parking. More info is available on the official park website.
Admission is completely free, as it is a public nature park. There are no entrance fees or tickets required; you only pay for parking if you come by car (around 5–10 PLN per hour). Check updates at sopot.pl.
A typical visit lasts from 1 to 3 hours, depending on whether you take a short walk along the trails near the beach or choose a longer route. I recommend 2 hours to enjoy the views and nature at a relaxed pace.
Tricity Forest is part of the Tricity Landscape Park, created in 1985 to protect the biodiversity of the Tricity region (Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot), with ancient forests and unique species. It is a key green lung for the area, promoting ecotourism and conservation.
The best time is in spring (May–June) or autumn (September) to avoid crowds and enjoy the foliage; during the day, early morning is ideal for cooler weather and fewer people. Avoid midday in summer because of the heat.
Some of the initial trails near Sopot Beach are wheelchair accessible, but most are uneven and sloped. There are limited paved paths; contact the park at +48 58 552 08 75 for adapted routes.
Nearby you’ll find the iconic Sopot Pier (1 km away), Sopot Beach, and Gubałówka Hill with its funicular. In 10–15 minutes on the SKM train, you can reach Gdańsk or Gdynia for more exploring.
Bring comfortable shoes, insect repellent, water, and an offline map (use an app like AllTrails); respect nature and do not leave litter behind. In summer, reserve parking in advance via sopot.pl and arrive early to avoid crowds.
