St. Mary's Gate is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, as it is a public outdoor structure in the Upper Town. Visiting St. Mary's Gate is completely free, as it is a historic gate open to the public without barriers. You do not need to buy tickets, although if you combine your visit with nearby Malbork Castle, castle admission costs around 40-60 PLN for adults.

A typical visit lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, ideal for photos and admiring its Gothic architecture. If you want to explore the surroundings of the Upper Town, allow at least one additional hour.

Built in the 14th century by the Teutonic Knights, this Gothic gate was one of the main entrances to the medieval town of Malbork and forms part of the UNESCO heritage of Malbork Castle. It represents the defensive architecture of the Order and its role in Prussian history.
