The palace usually opens Tuesday through Sunday, generally from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but hours may vary by season. We recommend checking directly on the Inowrocław City Hall website or calling +48 52 357 58 87 before your visit.
Access to the courtyard and outdoor areas is usually free, while temporary exhibitions may have nominal fees (around 5-10 PLN). For up-to-date information, visit the Cultural Center website, which manages the venue.
A complete visit takes approximately 45-60 minutes. It includes the historic building (now a Cultural Center), the Renaissance courtyard, and the permanent exhibition on the history of the Dukes of Kuyavia.
It was the residence of the dukes who ruled the Kuyavia region in the 13th-14th centuries. Its architecture blends Gothic and Renaissance elements, witnessing the unification of Poland under Władysław I the Elbow-high.
Spring and summer are ideal for enjoying its historic garden, but the interior can be visited year-round. Tuesday mornings tend to have fewer visitors.
It has adapted access to the ground floors and an elevator up to the main exhibition, although some medieval areas have narrow steps. It is recommended to check in advance by calling +48 52 357 58 87.
A 5-minute walk away you'll find: the Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary, the famous salt baths of Inowrocław (Termy Malinowe), and the curious 'Solanki' salt park with an observation tower.
Wear comfortable shoes to explore the cobblestone courtyard, ask for English brochures at reception, and combine your visit with the nearby baths (swimsuit essential). Check cultural events on their Facebook page.
