Akcent Zoo is open all year with seasonal hours: from April to September from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (ticket office until 6:00 PM), and from October to March from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (ticket office until 2:00 PM). It is located at 71 Jurowiecka Street, Bialystok. You can get there by public transport (lines 15, 21, or 27) or by car, with free parking available. Around 2 to 3 hours is enough to explore the whole zoo comfortably. It is a compact space of 13 hectares, ideal for family visits, where you can see more than 100 animal species in well-designed habitats.

Founded in the 1960s as a refuge for injured animals, it is a key educational center specializing in local wildlife, such as European bison and lynxes, as well as vulnerable species. It also serves as a natural sanctuary within the city, with protected wooded areas.

Spring and summer are ideal thanks to the mild weather (18–25°C), although in winter you can see animals adapted to the cold, such as the Eurasian lynx. Visit in the morning when the animals are more active and there are fewer visitors.

Yes, the zoo has paved paths and ramps in all the main areas. Eighty percent of the grounds are accessible for wheelchairs, including adapted restrooms. It is advisable to avoid rainy days because of potentially slippery areas.
