Saint Mary's Cathedral is generally open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with extended hours during Mass. It is located on Chiclayo's Main Square, reachable on foot from the center or by taxi; check the official website of the Archdiocese of Chiclayo for updated hours.

Admission is free, as it is a Catholic church open to the public. Only voluntary donations are accepted for maintenance.

Built between 1869 and 1898 in neoclassical style, it is the seat of the Diocese of Chiclayo and a heritage icon declared a Historic Monument. It represents the colonial and religious heritage of the Lambayeque region.
