Audio Guide of Chavín de Huántar

The Chavín de Huántar Archaeological Monument is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To get there, the most common option is to book a tour from Huaraz, which includes transportation and a guide. If you go on your own, you can take a shared minibus to the town of Chavín de Huántar and from there walk or take a mototaxi to the site. It is a unique experience you should not miss. General admission for Peruvians is S/ 15.00 and for foreigners S/ 30.00. There are special prices for university students, school students, and children. Because of the archaeological nature of the site, with stairs, narrow passageways, and uneven terrain, Chavín de Huántar presents challenges for people with reduced mobility. Some areas are accessible, but others are difficult.
