Mi Pueblito es un museo al aire libre en Panamá que recrea fielmente un pueblo colonial del siglo XVIII, integrando ruinas precolombinas como Las Huacas para revivir la historia panameña.
Mi Pueblito is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed on Mondays). It is located on Juan Díaz Hill, a 15-minute drive from downtown Panama City. We recommend confirming hours by phone: +507 230-1484.
General admission costs $2.00 USD for adults and $1.00 USD for children (2023 prices). On Sundays, admission is free for Panamanians and residents with valid ID.
A full visit takes between 1.5 and 2 hours, including the three sections: Afro-Antillean Village, Indigenous Village, and Interior Village. It is perfect for a morning or afternoon visit.
It is a living museum that recreates three cultural facets of Panama: Afro-Antillean traditions (Old Quarter), Indigenous communities (San Blas), and rural colonial architecture. It was founded in 1993 to preserve national identity.
The dry season (December to April) is ideal. Visit early (9–11 AM) to avoid crowds and heat. Wednesdays and Thursdays are less busy than weekends.
The Interior Village has mostly flat access, but the Indigenous and Afro-Antillean areas have slopes and cobblestone paths where assistance is recommended. Wheelchairs are not available.
We recommend combining your visit with: Biomuseo (10 min), Panama Railroad (8 km), and the Miraflores Visitor Center (15 min).
Bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and cash (cards are not accepted). Local guides offer tours in English and Spanish ($10 extra). There are restrooms and a small café with typical snacks.
