It is recommended to allow 2 to 3 hours to walk around the lake, enjoy the views, and perhaps go kayaking. If you combine it with a picnic, it can extend to half a day. It is ideal for a relaxed half-day visit.

The best time is from December to April during the dry season, with clear skies and fewer mosquitoes. Go early in the morning, from 7 to 10 a.m., to avoid the heat and enjoy the sunrise. Avoid rainy afternoons during the green season.

The main access is via an uneven dirt road, which is not suitable for wheelchairs, but there are viewpoints near the parking area with accessible panoramic views.
