Skydive Hoogeveen operates mainly on weekends and public holidays, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but this depends on the weather and requires advance booking. A 4,000-meter tandem jump costs around €249, with video available for an extra €99. Children aged 12 and up pay similar rates; check group discounts on their pricing page. It is not free, but worth every euro for the adrenaline rush.

The full experience lasts about 4–6 hours, including the briefing, training, and the jump itself (60 seconds of freefall). Arrive with 1 hour to spare for paperwork. I recommend setting aside half a day to enjoy it without rushing.

Founded in 1994 at Hoogeveen Airfield, it is one of the oldest and safest skydiving centers in the Netherlands, with thousands of jumps each year. It has trained generations of skydivers and is known for its unique views over Drenthe. Its reputation is built on AFAS-certified instructors.
