The beach is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, as it is a natural public space. You can easily get there by car via Vuurtorenweg, with free parking near Eierland Lighthouse; there are also cycling routes from Den Burg. Check the map at www.texel.net/beaches for precise directions.

Admission is completely free, as on most beaches in Texel. You do not need to buy tickets or make reservations; just respect the local cleanliness and environmental rules.

It is recommended to allow 1 to 2 hours to enjoy the beach, walk along the sand, and perhaps climb the nearby lighthouse. If you combine it with a picnic or birdwatching, it could stretch into half a morning.

This beach is famous for its proximity to Eierland Lighthouse, built in 1864 to guide ships in the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It represents Texel’s rich maritime history and is an ideal spot to connect with Dutch nature.

Summer (June to August) is ideal for the good weather, but sunrise or sunset in spring and autumn offer spectacular views with fewer people. Avoid very windy days, which are common on the island; check the forecast at www.knmi.nl.
