The Maison de la Photographie is open every day from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. It is located on Rue Souk Ahal Fassi, near Place des Épices. For the exact location: Google Maps. You can walk there from Jemaa el-Fna Square in 10 minutes.
General admission costs 50 MAD (approx. €5). Students and children pay 30 MAD. They do not accept cards, so bring cash in dirhams. More info on their website: official website.
The average visit lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours. The space has 3 floors with permanent exhibitions of historical photographs (1850-1950) and temporary shows. There is a rest area on the terrace with views.
It houses more than 8,000 photographs documenting the histories of Morocco and its ethnic groups. Highlights include the colonial-era collection and Berber portraits of great anthropological value. A unique visual treasure in the Maghreb!
Visit early in the morning (9:30-11:00 AM) or after 5:00 PM to avoid crowds and heat. Avoid midday in summer (up to 40°C). Spring and autumn offer the best weather.
