An oasis of greenery and serenity in the heart of Agadir, home to various bird species and a refreshing urban green space.
Bird Valley is usually open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is located in the heart of Agadir, right on Boulevard du 20 Août, so it is easy to reach on foot from the city center or by taxi. You can’t miss it!
Good news! Admission to Bird Valley is completely free, making it a perfect and budget-friendly way to enjoy nature in Agadir. Enjoy the experience without worrying about the cost.
To fully enjoy Bird Valley, we recommend setting aside at least 1 to 2 hours. You will be able to stroll at a relaxed pace, observe the animals, and unwind in its green areas. If you are visiting with children, you will probably stay a little longer!
Bird Valley Park, inaugurated in 1978, is a green lung in Agadir and an iconic place for the city. Originally conceived as a leisure space housing various exotic species, it now functions as a mini zoo and an oasis of tranquility. There is no great ancient history behind it, but rather a story of urban development and love for biodiversity.
The best time to visit Bird Valley is early in the morning or late in the afternoon, to avoid the strongest heat and see the animals when they are most active. As for the time of year, any time is good, since Agadir enjoys pleasant weather year-round, although the spring months (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are especially mild. Check the weather at AccuWeather Agadir.
Yes, Bird Valley is largely accessible for people with reduced mobility. It has paved paths and ramps that make it easier to move around most of the park. We always recommend asking at the entrance upon arrival in case there are any temporary restrictions or areas that are more difficult to access.
Very close to Bird Valley you will find Agadir’s lively seafront promenade, perfect for a walk or for enjoying the beach. You can also visit the Agadir Oufella Kasbah for spectacular views, or Souk El Had for shopping and soaking up the local culture.
Of course, here are a few tips: bring a bottle of water, especially in summer. Do not forget your camera to capture the beauty of the animals and vegetation. If you are visiting with children, they will love it! Although admission is free, there are kiosks inside where you can buy snacks or drinks. And above all, respect the animals and do not feed them!
