Audio Guide of Maritime Museum

The museum is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in summer (April to October) and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in winter. It is located in Grgurina Palace in the heart of Kotor Old Town. Advance booking is usually not required. More details: Official website.

General admission is €4, and students pay €1 (2024 prices). Cash (euros) is accepted in most cases. The ticket includes access to all permanent exhibition rooms.

About 1 hour is recommended to fully explore the exhibitions. It is a compact museum but packed with information on naval history, ideal for short visits.

It is key to understanding Montenegro's maritime legacy, with more than 20,000 pieces including ship models, navigation instruments, and 18th-century documents. The building itself, Grgurina Palace (1764), is cultural heritage.

Visit before 11:00 AM or after 5:00 PM in high season (June to August). Avoid cruise ship days (check the schedule at Port of Kotor). Low season (November to March) is quieter.
