Biljarda Palace is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Mondays. Admission costs €5 for adults, €3 for students, and is free for children under 7. You can buy tickets at the ticket office; consider the combined pass for other museums in Cetinje if you plan to see more.

A typical visit lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, enough time to explore the historic rooms and the collection. If you are interested in the history in greater depth, allow up to an hour.

Built in 1895 by King Nicholas I as a billiard hall and venue for royal receptions, it now houses exhibitions of the National Museum of Montenegro on the monarchy and the country's history. It represents the golden age of the Montenegrin monarchy.

Spring (April to June) or autumn (September to October) are ideal because of the mild weather and fewer tourists; avoid July and August if you do not like crowds. Go early in the morning to avoid the heat and enjoy a quieter visit.

The palace has some stairs at the main entrance, but there is an alternative ramp for wheelchairs; contact the museum at +382 41 230 518 to confirm assistance. It is not fully accessible in all upper rooms.

Wear comfortable shoes for walking around Cetinje, take photos only in permitted areas, and join a guided tour if available (in English or Montenegrin). Combine it with other museums for a good-value pass, and bring cash since cards are not always accepted.
