Un oasis de biodiversidad en Valle de Bravo, México, dedicado a la conservación de la flora endémica y nombrado en honor al poeta y militar Joaquín Arcadio Pagaza.
The garden opens its doors from Tuesday to Sunday, with continuous hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Keep in mind that it remains closed on Mondays for maintenance, so plan your visit for any other day of the week.
Access is extremely affordable, with a recovery fee of around $20.00 MXN for the general public. They also usually offer discounts for students and senior citizens with valid ID.
The visit is brief but substantial; we recommend setting aside between 30 and 45 minutes to walk through it calmly. It is a space designed for contemplation, so the pace is up to you.
This place was the former orchard of the parish and pays tribute to Joaquín Arcadio Pagaza, a renowned bishop and poet from Valle de Bravo. The garden preserves species he described in his work, fusing botany with 19th-century literature.
Mornings are ideal to avoid the heat and enjoy the dew on the plants. If you want to see the garden in its full splendor, visit it during or just after the rainy season, when the vegetation is at its most lush.
Most of the paths are flat and allow transit, although some areas have dirt or cobblestone paths that may require assistance. It is a friendly space, but with the natural rusticity of a historic garden.
Its location is privileged; you can visit the Templo de Santa María Ahuacatlán right next door or walk to the pier of Lake Valle de Bravo. You are also a few minutes from the Main Square and its restaurants.
Wear comfortable shoes and keep silent to enjoy the atmosphere of peace amid the bustle of the town. We recommend checking its exact location on this location map before going to plan your route.
