Playa Paraíso es un rincón idílico de Tulum con arena blanca fina, aguas turquesas cristalinas y un entorno selvático que invita a desconectar y explorar la naturaleza caribeña.
Beach Paradise is open 24 hours a day as a public beach, but visiting during daylight hours is recommended for safety. You can get there by car via Federal Highway 307 from Tulum, about 10 minutes away; there are also taxi services and organized tours from the hotel zone. For more details, visit the official Quintana Roo tourism website at Quintana Roo Travel.
Entry to Beach Paradise is completely free, as it is a public beach in Mexico. However, if you plan to visit the nearby Tulum ruins, the cost is around 80 MXN for foreigners; check updated prices on the INAH website at INAH.
It is recommended to set aside at least 2–3 hours to relax on the beach, swim, and explore the area, but you can extend it to half a day if you combine it with snorkeling. If you visit early, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere for a more complete and unhurried experience.
Beach Paradise is famous for its proximity to the Mayan ruins of Tulum, an archaeological site from the postclassic Maya period (1200–1500 AD) that served as a commercial port. This beach offers a beautiful contrast between ancient history and Caribbean nature, highlighting the cultural heritage of the Mayan Riviera.
The best time is during the dry season from November to April to avoid rain and hurricanes; choose early morning to enjoy calm waters and fewer crowds. Avoid hot summer afternoons, and check forecasts at The Weather Channel for your date.
The main access to the beach is over sand, which can be challenging for wheelchairs, but there are paved paths near the Tulum ruins that make it easier to get close. We recommend renting adapted equipment in Tulum or contacting the tourist information center at +52 984 871 2494 for specific assistance.
Nearby, you will find the impressive Tulum ruins just a few minutes away on foot, as well as Tulum National Park with cenotes such as Gran Cenote. You can also explore Akumal for sea turtles or visit Xel-Há for water activities; plan your route at Visit Mexico Tulum.
Bring sunscreen, water, and snacks, as there are few services on the beach; wear water shoes for the reef if you go snorkeling. Respect the environment by avoiding plastics, and visit with a local guide to learn more; for tour bookings, contact +52 984 803 7117 or visit Tulum Parks.
