There are not many tourist attractions immediately next to Monte Albán, as it is located on a hill outside the city. However, when you return to Oaxaca, you will have the entire Historic Center at your disposal, which is a World Heritage Site: the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, the Ethnobotanical Garden, and numerous markets and museums. You could spend the rest of the day exploring the heart of Oaxaca.

Absolutely. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as you will walk a lot on uneven ground. Bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and plenty of water, since there is little shade. Consider hiring a certified guide on site to understand the full historical depth.
