Audio Guide of Railway Museum

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, generally from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and remains closed on Mondays for maintenance. We recommend arriving at least one hour before closing so you can explore the iconic Three Centuries Plaza at a relaxed pace.

Good news: general admission to the museum and the plaza is usually free, making it a must-visit in Aguascalientes. However, for special events or temporary exhibitions, we suggest checking at the main entrance.

For a complete visit that includes the vintage railcars, the station, and the gardens, we recommend setting aside between 1.5 and 2 hours. If you use an immersive audio guide, the experience will be much richer and more detailed.

This site is the heart of Mexico's railway history; the largest workshops in Latin America once operated here. It is the place where the legendary locomotive 'La Hidrocálida' was built, and it represents the industrial progress of the region.

The best time to visit is in the late afternoon, around 5:00 p.m., when the sun is lower and the lighting on the historic buildings is spectacular. You will also avoid the intense midday heat typical of Aguascalientes.

Most of Three Centuries Plaza and the outdoor platforms have ramps and are easy to access. Keep in mind that entry into some historic railcars may be limited because of their original narrow structures.

You are in a strategic location: you can visit the Dancing Fountains within the same plaza or walk to nearby Victoria Stadium. In addition, the city's historic center is just a short taxi or public transport ride away.

Wear very comfortable shoes, as you will be walking on cobblestones and tracks, and do not forget sunscreen and water. To avoid missing the details of the engineering and the stories of the railway workers, it is essential to have good narration or a guide during your visit.
