The main shrine is open daily from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, although the grounds are accessible all day. The best way to get there is by train from Tenjin Station in Fukuoka on the Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line (about 30 minutes), getting off at Dazaifu Station. Admission to the shrine is completely free. You will only pay for transportation or if you visit nearby attractions such as the Kyushu National Museum, which has separate admission fees.

It is recommended to spend 1 to 2 hours exploring the main shrine, the pond, and the historic buildings. If you also include the nearby museum, plan for around 3 hours in total.
