The museum houses one of Italy’s most important Etruscan collections, with artifacts dating from the 7th century BC to the 3rd century AD, including ceramics, bronzes, and reliefs from the Belvedere Temple. It represents the splendid Etruscan civilization of Volsinii (ancient Orvieto) and its influence on the region.

Spring (April–June) or autumn (September–October) are ideal thanks to the mild weather and fewer tourists; avoid July and August because of the heat. Go early in the morning to enjoy fewer crowds and better natural light in the galleries.
