To visit Taormina Castle itself, I recommend between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on your interest in the ruins and the views. If you plan to walk from Taormina or go up to Castelmola first, the total excursion may extend to 2 or even 3 hours including the journey and exploring the village.

Near the castle, you should not miss the charming village of Castelmola, known as 'the balcony of Taormina,' with its picturesque lanes and views. In Taormina itself, the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, Isola Bella, and Corso Umberto are essential. You can also consider excursions to Mount Etna or the Alcantara Gorges.

Of course! I recommend wearing comfortable, non-slip footwear for the climb and for exploring the ruins. Do not forget water, especially in the warmer months, and your camera, as the panoramic views are spectacular.
