It is the medieval core of Ischia, dominated by the iconic Aragonese Castle (15th century). This castle-fortress protected the islanders from pirate invasions and today houses museums, gardens, and even a convent suspended above the sea.

Early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and heat. Ideal seasons: May-June and September-October, with pleasant weather and fewer tourists than in July-August.
