Una playa idílica en la península de Sithonia, Halkidiki, famosa por sus aguas cristalinas, arena blanca y formaciones rocosas únicas que le dan su nombre evocador.
Kavourotripes Beach has no fixed opening hours, as it is a public open-air beach. You can get there by car, and free parking is available. It is located near Sarti, on the Sithonia peninsula, Halkidiki. Follow the signs to 'Orange Beach' or 'Portokali Beach'.
Good news! Access to Kavourotripes Beach is completely free. However, if you want to use sunbeds and umbrellas in the organized areas, there may be a charge, usually linked to a minimum purchase at the beach bar (More information about Orange Beach).
To fully enjoy Kavourotripes Beach, we recommend setting aside at least half a day, around 3 to 4 hours. This will give you enough time to relax, swim in its crystal-clear waters, and explore the unique rock formations without rushing.
Although Kavourotripes Beach does not have a documented ancient history like an archaeological site, its significance lies in its natural beauty and its role as a peaceful retreat. It is famous for its natural sand sculptures (Halkidiki tourism video) created by the wind and the sea, making it a symbol of Halkidiki's stunning geography.
To avoid the biggest crowds and enjoy a quieter atmosphere, I suggest visiting Kavourotripes Beach in May, early June, or September. As for the time of day, early morning (before 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM) are ideal.
Unfortunately, access to Kavourotripes Beach can be somewhat challenging for people with reduced mobility. The path from the parking area to the sand includes uneven ground and, in some sections, small slopes and natural steps. There are no specific ramps, so accessibility is limited (Article about Orange Beach).
Near Kavourotripes, you can explore other beautiful beaches such as Platanitsi Beach and Sarti Beach, or visit the picturesque village of Sarti, which offers dining options and souvenir shops. For nature lovers, the hiking trails around Sithonia are an excellent choice.
For a perfect visit, I recommend bringing your own umbrella and towels if you plan to stay for several hours, as the serviced areas can fill up quickly. Do not forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and plenty of water. Explore the hidden coves and get ready for breathtaking natural beauty! Remember to bring a bag for your waste and help keep the beach spotless.
